The available balance is the amount you are able to withdraw or send immediately. After depositing funds directly from your bank account (not including wire transfers or debit cards), you will be able to immediately buy digital assets using your Fiat wallet. The available balance may be different from the actual balance in your account on a specific coin for reasons that include:
- A pending order. The amount of an order that has not executed cannot be used unless the order is cancelled.
- A deposit hold. Some deposits are subject to a hold period before they can be withdrawn from the account.
- A card pre-authorization hold. Some merchants place a hold on funds for purchases that have an unknown total. This can happen at gas stations, hotels, and restaurants. For example, if you purchase gas with your CoinZoom Crypto Debit card, the merchant places a $95 hold on the funds on the card in order to make sure there are sufficient funds to cover the purchase. This clears within 24 hours.
If the spend currency on your CoinZoom Crypto Debit card is less than the total amount available in that currency, it is likely due to one of the reasons above. You may need to change your spend currency or add additional value to it.
However, some deposited funds are placed under an initial hold before you can take them out of CoinZoom (see Deposit Fees and Hold Times) You will not be able to withdraw these funds to your bank, or send digital assets you purchased using them, until your deposit has cleared from your bank.
You can check your overall wallet balance and specific Coin balance(s) by going to the "Portfolio" tab on the website- or by going to the "Wallet" tab on the mobile app.
