Wire transfers are a secure and reliable way to make large deposits from your financial institution to CoinZoom. They typically take up to 7 business days to complete and are initiated at your bank.
See the Deposit Fees and Hold Times article for posting and holding times.
Required Documentation
Before your wire can be processed, you must verify the source of funds. The Wire Deposit screen includes a link to the Source of Funds Verification Form, which you must complete and submit when sending the wire. Additional forms are only required if your source changes.
You will also need:
Three months of statements from the sending account
Current account activity (screenshot is acceptable) showing the wire and balances before and after
Any additional documents requested by the bank
Upload documents securely using the provided link on the Wire Deposit screen, then confirm via email that you sent them. Return to the Wire Deposit screen to complete your request.
If the bank needs more information, you will receive an email request.
Wire Instructions
Access your Wire Deposit details in the CoinZoom app (Wallet → Deposit → Wire) or on the web at trade.coinzoom.com.
Include the following in your wire request:
Recipient name: Your name
Recipient address: Your address
Account number: Your CoinZoom account number (starts with "4000")
Routing number: Use if your bank is in the US
SWIFT code: Use if your bank is outside the US or if the routing number is not recognized
Bank name and address (as shown in your Wire Deposit screen)
Intermediate bank: No action needed — this is handled automatically
Wire fee: See fees section below
If your bank cannot complete the wire using the above details, use the Alternate Instructions provided on the Wire Deposit screen.
International Wire Deposits
International wires use the same instructions as domestic wires but require the SWIFT code. If your bank uses IBAN, paste it into the account number field, followed by the correct SWIFT/BIC code.
Some countries require additional codes (e.g., CLABE in Mexico, Sort Code in the UK). If unsure, open a support ticket to confirm supported formats.
Withdrawal Hold Times
Wire deposits may have a withdrawal hold of 0–7 days. You can trade with these funds immediately, but withdrawals or transfers are restricted until the hold expires. The hold time will display in the app after posting.
Wires from Third Parties
Wires from accounts not matching the CoinZoom account name will be returned, and the sender will be responsible for any associated fees. See Third-Party and Joint Accounts for details.
Processing Times
Wires typically take up to 7 business days to arrive and are usually posted the same or next business day (US business days only). To avoid delays, confirm with your bank that you have the most up-to-date wiring instructions.
Fees
Wire deposits: No CoinZoom fee (your bank may charge a fee)
Wire returns: $100 fee for returned transfers, including third-party wires, business wires sent to personal accounts, or missing/insufficient documentation
