The CoinZoom Crypto Visa Debit Card can be used at more than 130 million locations worldwide. At a point-of-sale terminal, you can tap and pay (contactless), insert the chip, or swipe. Use your physical card for ATM withdrawals or to get cash at a merchant's payment counter. Both physical and virtual cards can be used for online shopping.
How Purchases Work
When you make a purchase with your CoinZoom card, the currency in your spend wallet is automatically converted to USD at the point of sale. You must select a spend currency before making a purchase. The card will sell crypto from that wallet for each purchase until you change the spend wallet selection.
If there are sufficient available funds in your spend wallet at the time of a transaction, the payment will be approved and CoinZoom will create a market order to sell the required amount of crypto to cover the purchase in USD. If a transaction is declined, it may be because there are not enough funds in that wallet. To resolve this, add funds to the wallet or choose a different spend currency.
Pre-Authorization Holds
Some purchases may place a pre-authorization hold on funds. This is common for expenses where the final cost is not yet known, such as gasoline purchases. See the related article on pre-authorizations for more information.
