In order to spend with your CoinZoom Crypto Debit card, you must choose which currency to draw from each time you use your card. You can change it on-the-fly in your app at any time. When your card is first activated, the default spend currency is USD if it has an available balance. Otherwise another currency with a balance in it will be automatically selected.


An available balance means that the funds can be withdrawn immediately. Please see this article for details. 


Mobile App

Go to the Spend tab and tap on the drop-down at the top of the screen. All of your eligible currencies will show here. 

Choose USD or any other crypto with a positive balance to use as your spend currency.


Web App

You can configure your spend currency in the Spend Wallet.  


1. Sign in to your CoinZoom Account at trade.coinzoom.com. 

2. Click on Portfolio -> Spend Wallet.

3. Click the drop-down box under "Your card will spend"

4. Click which of the options listed you want to spend

5. Make sure that what you chose is now listed in the box.

Choose USD or any other crypto with a positive balance to use as your spend currency.


Spend Wallet Tips

When you make a card transaction, CoinZoom will:

  • Sell enough coins from your Spend Wallet to cover the purchase in USD.

  • Process the sale as a market order (price may vary slightly).


Best Practices:

  • Select a coin with high trading volume (liquidity) for more stable pricing.

  • Remember: Low-liquidity coins may sell at unexpected prices.

  • CoinZoom adds a 10% sell limit to help reduce price swings, but this is not foolproof for illiquid coins.
