If you receive an error that says your address needs to be verified when adding a Visa or MasterCard debit card, it means the information you entered may not be verifying correctly with your card's issuing bank.

To fix this error:

  1. Confirm that there are no missing characters or misspellings in the name and address you entered, and that the card number you are entering is correct.
  2. Make sure that the name and billing address on file with your card provider matches CoinZoom. If you have moved residences, for example, this information may be out of date.
  3. Contact your card's service number and verify the exact spelling of your name and address on file.
  4. Make sure the card is issued in the same country as shown in your CoinZoom profile.

Also note that only Visa and MasterCard debit cards are supported at this time. Prepaid cards or cards without residential billing addresses, even those with the Visa or MasterCard logo, are not supported.

Proof of Card Ownership

There may be minor address differences between what is on file with your card and what is in your CoinZoom profile.

If you receive an address verification error after checking on the above items, please contact CoinZoom support with proof that you own the card. Proof can be a bank statement or similar document that shows all of the following:

  • Your name as listed on your CoinZoom profile
  • Your street address as listed on your CoinZoom profile
  • The last 4 digits of the card you are trying to use.

Sometimes the information will come from more than one document or screenshot. If that is the case, make sure your bank account number is visible on all the documents.
